Other Information

Hello,

I am having a connectivity issue with two InfinityFree websites:

https://busphoto-bgn.xo.je/
https://www.rogis-fahrinfo.xo.je/

Both websites work normally for other people and they also work for me when I connect through my phone’s mobile hotspot.

However, they do not load through my normal Vodafone cable internet connection.

My public IPv4 address on the affected connection is:

91.65.161.204

Both websites resolve correctly to:

185.27.134.65

I tested DNS using both my normal DNS server and Cloudflare 1.1.1.1, and both return the same IP address.

TCP port 443 does not connect from my Vodafone cable connection:

Test-NetConnection 185.27.134.65 -Port 443
TcpTestSucceeded : False

The HTTPS connection also times out with curl before any TLS or HTTP connection can be established.

Traceroute from the affected connection reaches:

wildcard-uk.edge3.manchesteruk2.level3.net [195.50.121.134]

and then stops responding.

When I use my phone’s mobile hotspot on the same PC, both websites load normally.

So the same computer and browsers work with a different internet connection.

Could you please check whether my public IP address 91.65.161.204, or the Vodafone IP range it belongs to, is blocked or filtered by InfinityFree, Wildcard UK, or any firewall/DDoS protection system?

Thank you.

It sounds like Vodafone are Blocking your site. This happens a lot with free someone because of the “noisy neighbour effect” where a few bad sites cause isp’s to block the main domain

Thanks for the reply.

One interesting detail is that my mobile connection is also Vodafone, and the websites work normally through the Vodafone mobile hotspot. They only fail through my Vodafone cable connection.

DNS also seems to work correctly, and even a direct TCP connection to the server IP fails on the cable connection:

Test-NetConnection 185.27.134.65 -Port 443
TcpTestSucceeded : False

curl also times out while connecting directly to 185.27.134.65:443.

So could this be an IP/routing/filtering issue specifically in Vodafone’s fixed cable network rather than a general block of the xo.je domain?

–double posted due to network error–

I don’t know about anywhere else, but in the UK Vodafone cable/fibre broadband, and their mobile services are handled by different companies in the vodafone 3g group. So are subject to different block lists.

Curl ect wont work because the security system blocks any none browser connections.

Please don’t pay your public IP. People can use that to locate where you live.

There is a chance it’s a an IP block, admin would need to look at that for you

Alright, would be good if someone looks at it.
I edited the post.
If an Admin needs my IP for this to fix it, please say so.

I’ve reported the issue to iFastNet and they claim it has now been fixed. Can you please check if you can access you website now?
