I’ve looked at a ton of posts concerning .htaccess, and I am trying to point requests towards index.php, but nothing has worked yet. It all works when I run an Apache24 server locally.

Oh shoot. I had read this before but I think at that time I was so focused on .htaccess, because like I said, my PHP code runs fine locally. I hadn’t considered the PHP version, so it turns out I was using features of PHP 8 that aren’t supported by 7.4.

This time when I read this, I saw the suggestion to turn on the “Display errors” setting in the PHP config, and after some confusion as to why valid PHP code was causing errors, I figured out the version issue.
