An interesting phenomena

So I was experimenting with code and decided to make a backup via waybackmachine, and the original page at https://endedglory.ga/devpages/matrix doesn’t show the Chinese or Japanese characters correctly but at https://web.archive.org/web/20180622190002/https://endedglory.ga/devpages/matrix.html it shows the characters correctly. sidenote Does anyone know how to make the Chinese/Japanese characters appear correctly? lol

As far as I can tell, it’s a problem with the file encoding. Simply put, there are multiple ways to store non-latin characters into files (or web pages). UTF-8 is probably the format you want to use, but not the format your file is in.

It’s possible that Archive.org does some additional conversion which makes the page work.

Thanks, that worked!
