All my files have disappeared, and I have no backup!

If your files are gone and you don’t have a backup, then the files are gone. We don’t make backups of free hosting accounts, so if your files are deleted by anyone or anything, then they are really deleted, with no way for us to recover them.

However, there was another topic just now about the file manager not showing any files. If that’s what you see too, then understand that this could mean that your files are not gone at all.

If the file manager doesn’t show any files and folders, then two different reasons come to mind: The file manager has an issue, and it’s not displaying the files you have correctly. The files are actually gone from your hosting account. If it’s a file manager issue, it might have been fixed already, so you can just check it again later. Or use a different file manager, like our Filestash server (you can login with your hosting account username and password) or a desktop FTP client like FileZi…
