Which usernames are you referring to exactly? Account username, forum username, database username and the username to your website’s panel are all different.

The username that is used to login into Cpanal.
It is generated by the system and looks like if0_12345678.

The control panel username is found in the client area as the Account Username. It’s system generated and cannot be selected or changed.
