I have a working site that i share with family and friends, that I had to move from my own server that stopped accepting port 80 requests (still figuring that out). Of all the links only 1 doesn’t work. It is one called pic.html in the Aransas2 folder. Other things (jpgs for instance) will show up from that folder when queried. The same html file in a different folder works fine. I even tried deleting this entire Aransas2 folder and recreating it using the upload folder function. Any suggestions?
I suggest uploading files using a FTP client, because file managers are sometimes not reliable. Here are the instructions to upload files with a FTP client:

After that, you may need to clear cookies and cache.
For starters, can you share your website URL? I can only guess what the problem is if you don’t share the URL.
My first guess would be to check usage of capital letters. Note that files and directories on Linux (used by almost all web hosting providers, including us) are case sensitive, while on Windows they are not. So if your home server was running Windows, you may need to double check that the URLs you use and the file and directory names use the same capitalization.
Thanks for the quick feedback. I assumed you would know the site name from my account info. The site name is http://ddallasnc.epizy.com/. The link is http://ddallasnc.epizy.com/Aransas2/pic.html
I am probably just missing it but I think I have checked capitalization and punctuation. I copied a working file and put it in place of the one I have and it doesn’t work. I made a html file that just has the template info of html, head, and body and it doesn’t work. It is very strange. All other links work fine. Also as I mentioned, I put a jpg in place of the html file for testing purposes, and it displayed just fine … so the spelling of the folder is fine.
I think I will try that FTP transfer method suggested by Ergastolator1 as well. I have that program he suggests but have never used it.
The page seems to be working fine now. Did the different upload method solve the issue?
Actually, no.
When you said it was working I tried again and it was still not working. I took the other person’s other suggestion and cleared history, cache, and cookies and the problem disappeared. I would never believe that would solve the problem but it did. Thanks again for your feedback (and that from Ergastolator1).
I had the same thing happen again, but this time clearing the cache did not work. However, using the FTP client to upload the html file DID work. It is much faster too.
