The AdSense went mad again.
The replies are getting pushed up and down and up and down… by the ads. So frustrating and I always have to spend some effort to figure out what is actually happening…
And the big ad banner is starting to cover the navbar again.
Is anyone having the same problem
I can confirm that on mobile
there are ads up and down that are hierarchically above everything (z-index injected)
and cover the menu
but generally, you need to click /\ to hide it
something similar on the desktop
Yup, that’s the kind of ad that I hate the most. Clicking X, send feedback, select reason, the ad closes, not just hiding it.
Just FYI: the ad configuration is applied through an A/B test. So yes, sometimes you see the banners, sometimes you don’t. Sometimes it may be that there is no suitable ad for the slot, but most times it will be because you’re being bucketed by the test.
So to answer all your question: yes, I know that this is happening. Yes, I know sometimes the ads appear and sometimes they disappear.
I’m running the test to see what the effect of the changes are. When the test is concluded, I will make a decision on the final settings, which most likely will be to disable the anchor ads.
