Flipping heck, The Dev’s where I work leave notes like that in their code from time to time because they’ve copied snipits from elsewhere and not cleaned up. It really isnt a big deal

I have kind of a solid reason to not go back to Windows

You see I get my Surface Go from a pretty sketchy seller, while everything is genuine (serial numbers show up in Microsoft website just fine), the keyboard is an Italian one…
Chinese keyboards are surprisingly very short in terms of supplies

And Windows handles this very badly, like “Why would anyone have an Italian keyboard on a Chinese machine”. I cannot even follow the random registry hacks found on the Internet because due to how Windows works this breaks the on-screen keyboard!

Fcitx5 doesn’t have this issue.

In my opinion, Keep the PFP (but try to fix the transparent pixels), but Change the background image.

BTW it’s generally not recommended to use a copyleft license for small code snippets. The GNU project draws a line at 300 lines — that is, if your code have less than 300 lines of code it’s better to use something more permissive like Apache 2.0, as copyleft brings too little benefits for those smaller source codes.

Small programs

It is not worth the trouble to use copyleft for most small programs. We use 300 lines as our benchmark: when a software package’s source code is shorter than that, the benefits provided by copyleft are usually too small to justify the inconvenience of making sure a copy of the license always accompanies the software.

For those programs, we recommend the Apache License 2.0. This is a weak, lax, “pushover” (non-copyleft) software license that has terms to prevent contributors and distributors from suing for patent infringement. This doesn’t make the software immune to threats from patents (no software license can achieve that), but it does prevent patent holders from setting up a “bait and switch” where they release the software under free terms then require recipients to agree to nonfree terms in a patent license.

Among the weak (pushover) licenses, Apache 2.0 is best; so if you are going to use a weak license, whatever the reason, we recommend using that one.

Anyone else like this? I really didn’t want to do some work I needed to do, so I did some more work on my sites, launched a new forum, worked on someone else’s Discord server to set up their Rules Before Joining thing, and made a GitHub repo for a plugin I had to develop for said launched forum since such plugin didn’t exist on the Internet.

But now that my work I needed to do is done, I don’t even have the motivation to correct a wording mistake in Interface 3.

I need work I really don’t want to do so I can do other things. Anyone else?

Important - before you decide to publish your article please make a backup of it and save it locally in some txt file. The reason for this is that if we reject your article for any of the above reasons, your article will disappear permanently and this act will then make it more difficult for you to correct and refine it.

Except that it actually doesn’t? I requested a backup of my IF Forum account, and when I look in queued_posts.csv I can find that I made a community guide titled “How to create and connect a ImprovMX business email to Outlook”, and it was rejected. I could always bring the post back and make some improvements (but I don’t have the motivation to do so, so no.)
