ai meme of the day
I spent the last hour trying to install proprietary video codecs onto fedora
Thankfully it worked, and in some ways it worked better than Zorin OS because it now also picks up some encoders, not just decoders ![]()
Ok, I thought so.
To bad you can’t resell licenses.
read this as
@Jri-Creator How do you get through this with JriMail? Didn’t you used to be able to use your JriMail account to log into your help forums? (I’ve not used the SQL here, now that I think of it, you probably use that
)
Sorry. It was my poor attempt at humor. Checking Wikipedia, the series’ main character appeared to be Waldo. But I’m pretty sure had watched it as Wally. So the jingle went like where, where, where, where is Wally… Jri sounded like Wally.
But It seemed everyone got used to Waldo instead. hides in embarrassment
No more surprise appearances for Private Patton the Koala, I guess.
Saving this for the future. Thanks!
Fedora has been working flawlessly even without the surface kernel, 10/10 ![]()
BTW this time I went back to the good old KDE Plasma
AFAIK that’s the message you get when you’re using Twilio and the upstream application that’s supposed to return the call handling instructions is erroring out.
Not surprising in my opinion giving how poorly their nameservers are working.
Quite neat!
But you can give them away…
Using MySQL, and my 3rd Party SSO script. Quick fact as of 12/20/2025: MySQL Databases from Account X can be accessed on Account Y, as long as it’s withing the Free Hosting environment. JriMail uses two databases, one is still on Account 1 and the other is at JriMail’s home at Account 3.
Ah, now I get it! Apologies for my confusion. Over here, in the U.S. we know the character as Waldo.
Also, for future pronunciations of my Username, I say J-r-i-dash-creator (Jay-are-eye-dash-creator) or J-r-i-creator (Jay-are-eye-creator).
No need to do so! invites you to rejoin without embarrassment.
That’s what you call the koala wearing silly glasses and smoking a joint? My inner koala hated that image, and doesn’t find how that name connects.
I wonder if the owner(s) are just straight-up abandoning the project due to costs or something.
Well, that’s neat!
Yes, that works, but you have to be very careful with that. Account activity is still based on website traffic, so even if the database is actively used, the account may be at risk of getting suspended for inactivity. You wouldn’t be the first to have a working website break because of that.
Also, while it does work, it’s not an officially supported feature. So we may break it in the future without warning.
Their one and only working nameserver working as both an authoritative and recursive nameserver is a configuration issue, which is usually not a sign of abandonment but of either negligence or incompetence. Doesn’t make it look any better of course.
Let me scream something before giving you some updates on what i did from few hours ago: WHO PUTS CHANNEL 4 IN 2.4GHz BAND!?
entire hour wanting to listen to my favourite radio it’s laggy all over the place, same with other websites, with vpn or without it. Checking the router, seeing if something’s skechy. The 2.4GHz band uses fixed channel. It’s so old school, and bottlenecked the entire router! ![]()
I can put services that’s actually private behind cloudflare zero trust, so i don’t need to expose it!

I’ve always said it Jree Creator.
How can you tell?
Is this one of those fancy Regular features?
I have too lol.
Great thing about the internet, as long as we can write it, exact pronunciation isn’t as important lol
oh wait, it was the other way around. what’s actually happened here is my phone’s bluetooth and wifi seems to be on the same chip. so when i start using my wireless headset, the wifi gets bottlenecked immediately, because despite i’m using 5ghz network, my phone keeps scanning for networks, including the 2.4ghz ones. and you know what else is using 2.4ghz? bluetooth. ![]()
Two things:
- I receive a decent amount of traffic across all three of my hosting accounts, so the chances of worrying about this are low unless I stop receiving traffic on the account that has one of the databases. If I do lose traffic, I can always just reactivate the account. And I usually just visit my websites just because so there’s traffic there.
- In the case that one of the accounts goes down due to, say hits limits, even if communication is delayed or failing I can still tell when my account is shut down and take action to shut down the rest of my hosting accounts for protection.
Nothing’s ever official. Things may always break. But as long as we receive some sort of notice about it, we’ll be prepared. Unexpected breakdowns without any notice is what causes issues.
Quite neat!
Well that further explains @siglo_ph’s post.
Yeah, the spelling definitely produces that sound. I just never realized it because… Well I guess Jri was something I pronounced the way I did for quite a long while, since my young years when I first thought of the name.
Living in the world, I pick up terms that I don’t want to pick up but I do anyways. And that’s one of them. Heard of it before. And its definition.
If you don’t see it as a non regular, then it’s probably the case. Look for the two stars in your markdown bar at the top of your reply/compose box.
Exactly. Which makes me question myself as to why I decided to put my pronunciation of my username out into the internet when it’s not necessarily needed. But here we are.
Thankfully my current phone does not have this issue.
But I’ve had a phone that did have both modules on one chip, and I understand the pain. It really sucks. Cost cutting measures I guess.
(Even though my current phone is still supposed to be a budget model phone and yet it’s not on the same chip like wth?)
This is precisely why I’m warning you: if it’s not an intended feature. So we may change it without warning or alternative.
If so, it will not be our system breaking down, but just your website. And it will happen because you were exploiting a loophole that you were never supposed to be able to exploit.
So if you don’t want to wake up one morning and find that this setup broke, you should change this ASAP.
If you choose not to and hope it will keep working, then go ahead. I’m not aware of any plans to change this behavior. But if it does change at some point, then know that only you are to blame for that. Especially since I’ve warning you that it may break.
nah indian have their own physics rule so they will be fine lol
Getting Plants vs Zombies to work on Fedora
At this point I’m quite certain that all I need is KDE Plasma ![]()
I used KDE Plasma for some solid years and is just so used to it
Love that game
was so much fun
I was back on my flip phone because I was transferring a boatload of files over FTP to my phone.
I have noticed two things:
- My flip phone is louder than my phone at max volume.
- My flip phone must have no memory management, as I can run Pandora and Chrome Dev with no issues despite RAM being smaller.
Also, the flip phone is close to a Nokia brick. I say close, because it mostly survived being tossed from a front porch to the gravel road.
It got road rash, and the battery popped out. Put it back together, works fine.
The SIM adapter and SD Card adapter broke (I wasn’t using these anyway) but the kicker was that the headphone output broke (which was very annoying, because I had moments where I used the flip phone as my sound amp for my two large speakers.)
Despite these breaking, everything else works just fine. Almost like a Nokia brick.
I could place the flip phone in my Christmas tree, Pandora Music running with Christmas tunes, and make it seem like the tree is singing!
Sub-subdomains weren’t intended to be a supported thing, but when things changed, you provided notice. Guessing that this is different because it’s not an often used thing?
Also, PHP errors are a thing.
First, not just my website. Second, how could this be considered a loophole? We don’t know our database storage quota!
Contact iFastNet and tell them “I know one of my users is using multiple databases from multiple Hosting Accounts for their website, is this allowed/intended behaviour/an exploit that needs patched?”. I’m not going to do that, because that would be “Talking behind your back”, and you clearly don’t like that.
If it’s an exploit, and they patch it, fine. I’ll know (at least through breakdowns), and I’ll push my set of patches (assuming that none of my accounts are suspended for “Abuse”).
While you’re at it (assuming that you do contact iFastNet about the “exploit”), ask them if we can have a database quota metre. I don’t want to know how much Database storage I have, I just want to know how much Database storage I am using in a percentage.
But did they die? No? They’re fine then.
Amazing game.
