too good to be true…i hope it is not

I noticed that after 300 successful transfers over FTP, the FTP server seems to block my IP or time-ban me and fail to work the rest of the way. Is this normal now? If so, backups are going to be a pain in my rear.

That URL is part of the system to help combat ad blockers. The idea is to basically put a knife to the throat of ad blockers: allow the script and see some ads, or block the script and break the web page.

However, in this particular case, something seems to have gone wrong. I deployed a change yesterday which included some CSS modifications (which are actually quite rare).

Yep, I changed the menu on the account pages! I mainly disliked that most of the domain specific options were not accessible from the account home page, and that people might not know the functions were available at all.

It took me a lot of tries to build something I actually liked, but I’m pretty happy with how it works right now.

What’s the color but? The change to outline buttons was intentional, I wanted to make the design a bit lighter, and the big, brightly colored buttons were a bit too on-the-nose.

The dropdown in the menu only changes the context for the menu (notice that the “MANAGE {DOMAIN}” heading changes too), not the whole page. So if you are on the account home page and want to, say, manage the PHP options for a particular website, you can select the domain name in the dropdown and then click the PHP Options link to go to the settings page of that domain.

You need to select the domain name anyway, and this was the cleanest way I could find to do it.

Why not? What do you dislike about it?

Yes, that’s indeed something that should be addressed. The rest of the card should be pretty clear that it’s about Site.Pro, but people don’t notice that it seems.

Thanks for sharing that!

Updating the documentation is one thing, but I also want to kick the tires and see what actually has been changed. Did they specifically add checks for Cloudflare Origin Certificates or actually do the valid-for-domain check based on the SAN? And do they check all the SAN names or just the first one?

If they properly support SAN checks now, that opens up some possibilities to have a single certificate that can be used on multiple domains.

Cloudflare Origin Certificates are only trusted by Cloudflare, so it’s not like someone can use them to impersonate your site.

The default options for Cloudflare is to have wildcard certs that are valid for 15 years. But you can make certificates for specific (sub)domains too, and they have some options for shorter validity. You can also easily revoke the certificate from Cloudflare’s panel.

And I do vaguely remember something about the certificates being pinned to your Cloudflare account too, but I’m not sure about that.

There are limits on transfers, but 300 seems way too low.

I thought the light buttons were a colour bug again. I remember sometime ago you said this was a bug.

Ah, so it simply changes the context of the dropdown menu. Neat!

The two Manage (This) menus are taking up more page space, accessing them requires more scrolling. I was kind of hoping it would be like the Mobile Interface, where both menus are collapsed. Or, with the Manage account menu collapsed and the Manage Domain menu expanded (at least in the domain area, in the main account management area it would be vice-versa)

A possibility that only one certificate is needed for all subdomains? Huh.

What’s the limit, if you know?

Well anyways, setting the following settings seems to allow me to continue transfers without having to restart them half-way

EDIT: It’s better with a 90-second timeout than a 60-second timeout.

EDIT 2:

Dang it, I missed it again!

Here’s a random idea that spawned in my head, that will probably never exist but who knows:

InfinityFree-themed (sun)glasses.

Yeah, it’s very random. And the 3d model is crude.

infinityfree-glasses.stl.txt (467.6 KB)

Drop the .txt and you can view the model in CAD software (I used TinkerCad for the model).

It would be cool to have InfinityFree Merch, but I can understand why this is something that’s not offered.

(The full-size image is too big, even though it’s only 1.1MB. Also, I placed the avatar bubbles in random spots. Made: 12/07/2025)

The InfinityFree Community, with the Top 15 usernames according to this.

Something in my head told me to make this…

Maybe it’s because I said something about making this…

Maybe it’s because I said:

And never got to working on it.

What happened to OxyPolitics? In fact, where’s Oxy?

Also, where’s EuropeanRat?

And JavesPotato?

Huh, the old username never got updated in quotes…

I get your point. I developed them on a WQHD monitor which can easily fit in the whole menu, but on a FHD monitor it doesn’t, and gets worse with a smaller screen. The menu is bigger than it ideally should be, but then just hiding parts of it doesn’t seem like a solution.

Also, the page you’re viewing looks a bit sparse like that. But custom domains get a few extra cards to help balance it out.

Related to both paragraphs, perhaps return the background on the buttons?

About the new design, I might collapse the whole account menu when on a subdomain page, since I almost just deactivated my account.

better than anything I could ever create with TinkerCad XD

mind if I include this on my site? I like it. (Also, those are top likes received in the past week, not all-time)

Actually, why is “Home” and “Hosting Accounts” 2 buttons when “Home” just redirects to “Hosting Accounts”?

Unaltered, yes you can do it without crediting me. Altered in any way, and I ask that you provide credit by simply sticking my username next to or on it. My profile bubble might change at any time, so don’t think that my profile bubble is enough credit. My username is fine.

It don’t matter, it the users I’ve seen and recognize the most.

If you actually make this thing… Send me photos of something wearing it please! It does not have to be a person. It just has to be something with a face.

Some people prefer to go home to find their stuff, some people prefer to click the direct button. If they don’t think hosting accounts is home, they just click home and realize it’s the exact same thing as hosting accounts. I’m not seeing anything wrong with it. I pretty much did the same thing when I had Interface 2 and Interface 3 interchangeable, when users could downgrade/upgrade or switch default interfaces.

Andriod TVs have essentially no security as long as you are on the same network and have another android/chromeOS device… I’ve hijacked the TV in our house many times before.

Well I was going to credit you anyway so yeah

I should probably update the layout so the ads don’t overlap with the menu in the first place.

What’s the width of the window where you see this behavior so I can test it?

example.com
www.example.com
forum.example.com

are supported.

sub.subdomain.example.com
www.subdomain.example.com

are not supported unless sub subdomain hosts are specified specifically

so *.subdomain.example.com will need to be included in the origin cert

why nano banana is so unconsistant in image generation? like i use the same prompt to create the 2 image as you can see, and in the prompt it clearly says that make the element individually and tilted to create a cinematic angle, but i can only make one picture that look good (first one), after that first image was generated, i cant able to make it generate that style anymore, i tried to change prompt, i tried to make prompt shorter, nothing, it just refuse to work

is anyone know how to fix this problem?

i think dns.adguard.com can help  (jkjk)

I was trying to figure out how you got those interesting photos!

Maybe the page can’t take the glorious effect? Or the AI is crashing, I don’t know.

Paying Admin’s bills does help too, but there isn’t an option to donate yet.
