Crazy!

(Don’t remember if I responded to the survey. I think I forgot to :sob:)

Yeah, I’m alive.

Going down to my grandparents farm today! I’m working for the summer, so I’ll likely be even less active (aside from reading posts to catch up).

@Oxy so you can be relieved: yes, I will pet those cats!

Is ChatGPT used to generate code templates to work on? I have never used it.

It can be!

I also used it for figuring out coding problems and it can even explain steps to me instead of writing the code (I’m stubborn and like doing things myself).

Codeium might work for you, IDK:

It has a built-in chat feature to VS Code and it works pretty well, too. It even has an inline code completion feature (and it’s free)!

It’s not an advertisement (don’t get angry pls, haha), but just something I might recommend if you can use it as it’s a good alternative if ChatGPT is blocked in your country.

Ironically this would confuse me a lot more, probably since English is my non native language but I understand a code snippet with comments better.

Yeah, I don’t think they have it allowed in Iraq (or is it Iran? Sorry, that one letter really messes me up).

Fortunately ChatGPT is still available here for us! But I always use Bing AI nonetheless.

It is Iran, I don’t really see why it is blocked for my country.
Codeium sounds interesting and I can open it, will try it out later. More than wanting to use it for serious programming, I want to test the AI out just to see how far it goes

The error page is completely different than what I would face if I visit a website blocked by my ISP lol, but yeah sure, I will “believe” it.
Maybe because I’m still salty since Discord claimed that their upload API is blocked by my ISP despite me proving them it is not.

It can go quite far (but fail hilariously sometimes, too. Don’t let your guard down!)

Could be because of sanctions, too (or other incentives put on them to not allow it in your country).

That is what I’m going for lmao.

I thought being upfront honest is better than saying “your govt has blocked it”.

It probably makes sense but still don’t see a reason, my govt could block the ChatGPT subdomain and even then there is no use for my isp not to block it when OpenAI has done it, literally no different for the citizens here.

Service blockage due to sanctions makes more sense (and no where surprising for people here) but avoiding to be honest with issues like that is bad.
Afterall it is not my first time where issues like that were shrugged off by Western companies:

Talking of Bing, I can access the search engine and had used it to see if the rumours regarding it were true (they are)

With increasing technologies that enable us to bypass censorship, increasing curious minds that want to know and increasingly smart generations that grew up using tech, it is increasingly laughable for countries to have a go at censorship (although I guess that aforementioned smart minds could work there). At this point, it’s an arms race.

Of course, that’s not to say that they won’t try…

@Thewebuser22 did you finish this? I have been enjoying it so far

And my ISP has an unfortunate level of censorship, which made @anon86539743 say that it is China level :sob:

Bing AI is also talking about this topic (and the forum) now as I speak!

I should get around to it, but I have tweaked it a little bit. I think it’ll be on the backburner for a while, as I’m trying to get around to buying software that I tried out (and loved) so that I could make another song I posted:

Think I’m getting in the car soon to leave for the farm, so one last song share that I have for yall (for now, at least):

Zekk is awesome, man.
