And on today’s episode of “Read @Jri-Creator’s Mind”, @lovebug, @KangJL and @dan3008 correctly read other ideas and pros/cons directly from my mind.
I don’t know, if we somehow obtained camera access, and froze the timer when the person is not reading, I’m pretty sure they’ll start reading soon
But yeah, when people really don’t want to read legalese, they’ll do their best to avoid it. Just like mobile ads. Being honest, I think InfinityFree’s ToS could be read by a 12-year-old, and that 12-year-old would mostly understand it. I guess that’s my way of saying it does not look like it’s written in legalese.
That might be going a little too far. But I like it!
I used to have thought about a similar system but is more radical: the timer is put on each paragraph instead of the entire page, and the timer won’t start until the paragraph is visible, so you cannot just sit there and call it a day.
You also cannot skip paragraphs as the paragraphs are loaded in one by one instead of all at once.
But yeah, a very effective way of scaring all potential customers away.
The funny thing is, Windows Server 2008 (R2) with premium assurance last one more year than standard Windows 10 into 2026.
And if you add (IoT) Enterprise LTSB/LTSC to the end of Windows 10… Suddenly only the very first version of it (2015, Version 1507) is ending at 2025 and literarily all other versions lasts longer than standard Windows 10.
Basically if you don’t have money you are worthless to Microsoft
Just take a look at this — remember when Microsoft says “Internet Explorer 11 is out of support”?
That is to say, I don’t plan to move to Linux as of now. I’m rocking on Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019
It’s not like I don’t have a VPN to circumvent these type of sh*ts, I’m just demostrating how everything you are familiar with can be very different in other places.
Not really. The “socket connections” mostly refers to outbound connections from your website, e.g. using cURL. Excessive socket use can indicate scrapers or hacking scripts, which can get our IP addresses blocked, which is why there are limits.
Socket usage is not shown in any graph, and is unrelated to hits or entry processes or anything like that.
Good golly god has it been a long time since I’ve posted. And 2 WHOLE YEARS since this post has been made! I think the title topic should be changed to “Introductions and general discussion” or something like that, since its basically kinda derailed at this point?
I haven’t been here in 2 years (actually it’s one year but I’m excluding the month so it’s 2 years). I’ve passed all my exams and now I’m somewhat of a free man. Next is army I suppose. Then life. I’m really surprise this thread is still active and the forum is still pretty active.
