Ugh thats a nighmare of the project. I was trying to get the pi3 running as a home assistant, and eventually gave up and turned it into a NAS
google maps says this is an art installation but it could be an entrance to a secret underground government facility ![]()
Nothing would supprise me these days

Anybody know how many forum users we have?
24800+
See here
I am guided by this number listed here About - InfinityFree Forum
One is all time, as in both existing and deleted
Other is only the existing
I Don’t Know.
I get a totally different number from the mod view lol

(Yes, that is a windows calculator screenshot, Discourse made me do math)
Is it me, or is this Discourse bugging out again? All day, the InfinityFree forums won’t clear the Unread tab (at all, it says I have 1 Unread topic
) but yet the New tab clears as it should? Just like my Emails and JriMails, I hate seeing a number next to something I have to read.
The (1) is from Greenreader9’s comment.
Gotta say the mandatory “I use arch btw” now
(God that took forever to install)
But hey, that’s half the fun! Loving it already
Imagine if EVERYONE bragged about their OS installations…
BTW, I use Ubuntu
![]()
Glad you enjoy Arch though!
Honestly though, there really is something nice about installing Arch. It takes a lot of work and I’ve learned a lot more about OSes by installing it. But yeah, it’s not much to brag about, especially these days where there’s a lot of resources helping you. But I can only imagine back then…
I have plans myself to switch to Arch, not for the brags but to have more control over my storage.
As of right now, I am using an Acer c720 Chromebook, flashed with mrchromebox firmware, running Ubuntu 24.04.1. I only have 16GB of storage to work with, which runs out quick.
If I switch to Arch, it wouldn’t take as much storage. I don’t have plans on upgrading, I’m running it until it no longer powers on. The one advantage to this UbuntuBook is that it’s surprisingly fast.
I could nerd-talk about Chromebooks all day, but I’m on the wrong forum
All I’m saying is, Intel-powered Chromebooks are 3x faster than it’s offspring.
Which flavour are you using?
Manjaro, Mabox, Reborn or Endeavour…???
Looks like you are using KDE DE…
Arch itself lol
And yeah, I’m using KDE for the DE
