It’s good that they changed that. I wasn’t a Leader back then but I would have been very confused if I unlisted a topic and then it just disappeared.
If I remember correctly, you can only view threads that you have unlisted.
Hey guys, I hope you are all doing well! I was not able to login for the Forums for like 4 days straight. I had some personal stuff going on, but everything is getting back on track. I hope I’ll be able to hop online more often
.
Updated my profile website to reflect my more centralized username now (not an ad or anything, just a share) ![]()
(Still keeping my name TW22 here… for now).
Still looks crap on phones (lol)
It looks good on phone, just that the text is a bit crammed, and when you get to the images, there is overflow on the X axis. Also, why is your ReplIt profile repeated twice? Other than that, great portofolio!
POV: You included a link, you also added animations to it:
The website:
My <a href="htt
The layout for the “Games” section doesn’t align pretty well.
Something is overflowing the site, although I can’t really see it, probably the animations. Try doing overflow-x: hidden
Except these issues, the site looks cool! Great job!
I tried adding a media screen section, so the areas where the text is side by side some image/iframe will look better when the width of the screen gets too small.
Whoops! I meant for the second one to be the Twitter (cough X) profile link
Thank you!
That was intentional ![]()
Changed that up
Yep! Got that, too.
Thanks!
This might be some good informal post, but I feel like a mod or a leader should come and fix the spelling ![]()
FYI: us leaders don’t even have permissions to edit others’ posts; anyway that topic could be a good idea if it wasn’t that my website doesn’t use a free subdomain…
I remember seeing leaders on this forum editing posts in the last version of this forum (discourse). It is also stated in the discourse official blog that leaders are capable of editing all posts.
This can only mean that:
- Admin tweaked the settings.
- You failed to find the button.
Honestly, I don’t see a practical reason to restrict editing while leave merging / closing / unlisting open.
Sometimes you really have to point out where the error is or else it just becomes invisible ![]()
I didn’t.
I just saw that these posts disappear after 15 days from last post. Than it make no sense to start a list that way, spelling or no spelling.
Suggestion for Admin
Make a sticky post for Showcasing InfinityFree websites (for both, free subdomain and premium domain).
Users can add a little description of their website so it would make a nice little backlink.
You can use the make wiki function to edit post
Oh, didn’t know it.
So now you know. With great power comes greater responsibility…
Just remember to close wiki after edit
Let me try it!
I added a HTML comment on the post before mine.
With time someone tries to post a link (link = spam = not allowed)
besides that, we had several such topics and very quickly become offtopic
Leaders have never been able to edit posts, for the entirety of the just over 3 years I’ve been a mod (wow! Time sure does fly!)
I don’t think leaders can edit the title/category either, but not 100% sure on that one.
Unfortunately, that just creates a cesspool for spam and unwanted activity. Most people come to the forum because their website is not working, or because they got suspended for illegal activity. Giving that group of people (specifically the latter) the option for a free backlink is not a good idea.
I never really liked the topics that Oxy mentioned, but since nothing really bad has happened (yet) I’ve let them slide, and I believe Oxy has done the same.
Yes, that is true. However, the edits you make are still viewable in the edit history, so don’t use it to hide sensitive info (as it can still be seen by search engines, and it makes it 10x harder for us mods to catch it).
Very true!
