I like my uptime low down low down low…
Because what if Admin and/or chiucs get thirsty? They can easily drink from the tap.
Thank you. Though my post was purely a joke, I had only found out the meaning minutes before posting it.
@Greenreader9 at your place
What are your plans for the weekend ?
I noticed right now you also changed your profile picture, @Frank419, and I really like it!
Debian user but Ubuntu as profile banner, naice naice.
Because I have a feeling that the topic is going to spiral into something else, so I feel it’s aptly named. You may need to Google it if the expression is not common where you are.
It was worse the entire first half of this week. So staying inside and racking up the power bill.
About to change it. It’s just pretty hard to make designs on a phone :v
Of course you noticed right now, cuz that’s when I changed my profile pic
@Oxy the AI was a little bit too creative that it created meaning I don’t even think of
That is fine, I have a laravel instance running on my mobile
Just, curious

Hmm…bluetooth does not work well on Linux.
Any idea on increasing the bluetooth transmitting and receiving range especially on Arch?
Other than physically extending the antennas, no. I haven’t had much luck even getting Bluetooth to work in the first place on any Linux distribution, so I don’t know. Maybe a different “driver”/package?
Tried both pipewire and pulseaudio. Seems no difference at all. Wondering if there is any config files to tweak bluetooth settings…
I believe it depends on the hardware. I once installed GalliumOS on an old Chromebook, and Bluetooth worked perfectly fine. However, the laptop’s Bluetooth hardware was designed to work with a Linux distro in the first place (Chrome OS) so it makes sense. And I also know from experience that the stock hardware from a lot of computers that come preinstalled with Windows doesn’t always want to play nice with other operating systems.
What kind of hardware are you dealing with, if you don’t mind me asking?
T460 laptop. Works fine on windows. Just that on Arch, bluetooth range is limited to less than 1 m
Which of these do you have?
Broadcom or ?
what happens if you turn off wifi via the button, does the range increase?
or it kills also BT (combo device)?
