Interesting. Hopefully we’ll all be alive and well to witness the fall of the 32-bit Unix Epoch Time.
It would be funny to see the year 1901 and the like
it would turn out that we were born later than the current year
Instant rejuvenation!
Probably nothing special will happen like with Y2K
The only thing I don’t know what is the situation with satellites and other things in space… although they may not have such a long life
What I am expecting / want to happen is everything transferred smoothly except for one big company that gets everything screwed up, and then gets made fun of for the next 20 years because there entire system crashed for using the wrong data size for times.
I believe most of 64bit applications use a different time system which is functional until years after the death of sun. So anything that is going to be affected by y2k38 is most likely to be 32bit.
Number of bits have a lot of effect. 2^64 is a lot bigger than 2^32 which is only 4 Giga.
Modern 32-bit Linux like Debian will switch from signed integer to unsigned integer.
The 32-bit integer
Signed: 2147483647
Signed Date/Time: Tuesday, 19 January 2038 03:14:07
Unsigned: 4294967295
Unsigned Date/Time: Sunday, 7 February 2106 06:28:15
But I don’t know if world still exists in 2100 :v
They will definitely switch for 64-bit, end of the 32bit era lol
@Oxy you should be able to create something in userChrome.css to hide that pesky puzzle icon in firefox
Thx - Yes, I’m constantly postponing this because I hope something clever will appear with a newer version.
I removed it today
here are more detailed instructions

Until that year
your phone’s battery will die long ago and it won’t be worth it to install a new one,
and your phone will become an ordinary brick compared to the devices that will exist then.
In any case, you will probably change at least 5 phones by then - so don’t worry.
I made a great skin for the forum
1.open dev tools - style tab
2.find desktop*(blahblah)
3.scroll to the bottom and paste this
div{animation: anim 2s;animation-timing-function:linear;animation-iteration-count:infinite}
@keyframes anim{
0%{text-shadow:-6px 4px 0px red;background:green;left:1px;top:1px}
10%{text-shadow:4px -6px 0px green;background:blue;left:2px; top:3px}
20%{text-shadow:-9px 4px 0px blue;background:yellow;left:1px;top:5px}
30%{text-shadow:4px -6px 0px yellow;background:orange;left:3px; top:3px}

100%{text-shadow:-9px 4px 0px teal;background:red;left:2px;top:2px}
}
4.close dev tools and rest your eyes and mind
That’s a nice skin, but I prefer to stay with the dark theme after I made my eyes rest…
Thanks - the more you browse the forum (click on something) the better it gets
I smell rainbow but curious how it looks like.
We to new users: Just read the documentation in the knowledge base, it’s not that hard.
How the task of looking in the KB appears to new users:
Great theme! I 100% recommend it (I am currently in the hospital for epilepsy).
Also why is your post blurred?
yikes
Bit late to the party, no?
This incident has been resolved.

discord is having issues too because of it
So apparently it is a bad idea to download a 2GB file over FTP, render a video in Premier, render another view in ClipChamp (Don’t ask), and transfer files over a local connection to your phone at the same time.
Premier crashed, and somehow froze my mouse and disabled by monitor in the process.
And no, I have not learned from this and have re-started every process from before
EDIT (9 mins later): It did it again
