For a long time, I haven’t seen that our admin spent so many hours logged into the forum like today
Everything should be working as intended again. 8 hours and many surprises later.
Once the S3+Cloudfront setup for Discourse is set up correctly, it’s great. Before then, it’s quite some untraceable configuration, undocumented rake commands and manual data wrangling to get it all to work.
If it’s working correctly, things should be faster better than ever before though.
I first noticed that this last update from 2 days ago
when I log out it stays hanging (instead of kicking me out of the forum)
now it’s good
Used exit;
instead of return;
In case anyone wanted to know what bug has been annoying me for the past 45 minutes.
It is interesting that when such news appears, scans immediately begin
I notice in my CF and in the logs a massive jump in scanning for WP-dirs on my domains from various hostings
so I expect for all users here that someone might get a suspension due to the large number of requests from bots.
Much better and more mature this time
I just don’t know how much sense it makes to waste hours on making song when fl demo
does not allow saving project,
or do you do it in a virtual machine and then you don’t turn off FL studio but you put the virtual machine to sleep and continue some other day? I don’t know how smart FL is about it and if it notices it.
I remembered how trial software used to run in virtual machines and you just change the date and they always remain active (assuming, of course, that you don’t allow them to go online).
FL allows you to save, but to open it back up you have to purchase it again. Again, I’m trying to get more practice and one of the things that will help me is being able to stay focused.
Although, maybe taking a walk every so often will allow me to think of musical patterns. Right now when I try to think of something my head clouds over.
Also, I tried “colorizing” (color bass):
There are other methods that I should try, but I’m really happy as a lot of songs use resonance for sound design.
I tried it again, this time with vocodex.
I know that this isn’t an excuse to not become good at making music as a whole, but I think that knowing that these ways are some of the methods of sound design will really boost my sound quality to be up there with the pros. Of course, knowing the basics like filter manipulation and compression/distortion is still something that I am (and probably always will be) learning.
return; If called from the global scope, then execution of the current script file is ended.
Goodby very annoying bug that took 45 minutes to figure out.
When I open Photoshop, Adobe Premier freezes
When I open Premier, Photoshop freezes.
How the heck am I suppose to edit videos?!?
Yes, this is the first time it happened. No, I don’t have the patience to troubleshoot
Add more RAM?
you get more if you move one of these
Congratulations
BTW, how do you turn off loop markers for patterns/playlists? It was driving me nuts when trying to use edison to record a reverb tail.
Ah, but both of those don’t work.
Still loops, no matter what.
There’s definitely quite a lot of stuff to learn in FL.
I wonder if I should put myself through the torture of reading the manual (I have the offline version for when I don’t have internet).
I used to read car and small engine manuals when I was a kid. I guess I’m too lazy now, haha…
make a video so I can see what you’re doing
and check that you don’t have loop rec somewhere on the tool bar or in the options
here’s another useful one to clean up your project a little (when it’s bigger and you don’t know if you added something and used it or if it’s just sitting idle)
every month more and more
I really need to learn more music theory (and I think learning to play piano, or a midi keyboard, will really help me out with that).
Speaking of music:
Gotta love Eurobeat!
2:00 is my fav part :> What’s yours?
2 hours and 51 minutes spent on this so far.
Maybe I need to go with the bare minimums first? Although I can’t quite tell whether or not I’m on the right track, haha…
Edit:
Nope, it’s 4 hours and 10 minutes now
Yeah, the hats need work I know. Again, I really should start making the basic stuff first.
