iTunes (for pc) is making me cry… it’s giving me such a hard time

first it wouldn’t start (ms store version) so I uninstalled it
Then I installed the regular version… did it complete successfully? Yes…
I started it (successfully), signed in… then…
PSYCH! apparently it didn’t, so it reinstalled itself
and now it won’t start again…

I really hate iTunes for pc. like really

Oh iTunes for windows sucks. The biggest thing I had is that they did not allow you to change the backup location, and the hard drive in my old laptop was just not big enough. So I had to create a junction, and ended up corrupting my existing backups, then causing a headache when I migrated to my new PC.

Yeah I use Itunes and for me, the UI just sucks (feels too Apple-ish XD).

Oh and, here’s a little meme I made:

If any of you find it useful :joy:
A “small” program that I made mostly for the reason that when I support the users of this forum,
I often have to open 10 or more browser tabs and use various tools to get some information about someone’s domain and the like

And with this program, it is enough to enter the domain in the input box (or CTRL+V) and press ENTER
and that address is forwarded to various online tools displayed in the program.

in essence, literally as if you have everything you need open in one window in the browser. (most of the necessary information in one place).

REQ:

OS = Windows
Min resolution = Full HD
Internet access - allow the program to access the Internet

INFO:

APP = Portable - also when the program shuts down, it deletes itself - there is no fear that something is running in the background!

The file size is a bit large because the entire browser is inside

Mouse double-click on one of the sections = maximize/minimize

For the first time, you may be greeted by GDPR (and other privacy matters) on some tools, but once you confirm it will be saved and you should not be asked again

Content:

website preview
Safe Browsing site status
hosted on IF or not (ip is there)
Nameservers
DNS records
--------------------MORE button

SSL test
Cloudflare Diagnostic Center
manual - find all DNS data

of course you can always choose something else in each tool…
The ones listed above are only the default results that I have chosen

bug - if the last window in the lower right corner disappears click the button MORE and then HOME

btw. copy text from the program using CTRL + C (no right-click menu)

DOWNLOAD HERE

If this pops up - click more info > run anyway

Windows got it right away for me

Windows is even throwing a fit if I try to inspect it.

Oxy, there better be an explanation for this

It runs on Wine quite well…

I think that is because it is a new .exe file (or because it makes a lot of HTTP requests). I’ve ran a VirusTotal test and it came clean.
Also I’ve found an Microsoft answer here that says it’s a very common problem.

I don’t know the reason why MS stated that except that it probably made a false positive

I ran the exe at least 50 times and not once did my AV respond

here are the results online (for that mini exe file which runs after SFX is unpacked)

A little slow, but certainly useful!

Thanks for sharing!

And the builder you used looks pretty cool too

it mostly depends on the speed of your internet

otherwise you can reduce the window so that it is not full screen and then resize as desired

only that it will be less readable, but double-clicking on something enlarges it and it’s fine again

it’s actually a Frankenstein app

mostly c++, but also JS and other languages

@anon46092769 is that Linux Mint or Ubuntu Mate?
(Or something else, I could be completely wrong!)

Mint.

Cinnamon, I assume?
How do you like it? Is it fast, reliable, etc?
