10000 forum users celebration - special event

Da hek?

I reached the like limit!

Does that count from yesterday, too? Because I definitely have not liked 50+ posts today!!!

Its happened to me before. I do not know how the forum counts likes.

According to this you have 73 likes today.

And I mean, you did like a lot of posts (See here)

Yeah, I guess they should change it to “past 24 hours” or something.

I am using Xampp which comes with filezilla server as a side-tool to connect to my local machine.

However, I am trying to use it to connect to my infinityfree website.

When I connect, this is the box that comes up:

Am I entering it in correctly?

Note that I am not creating a new topic because I am more or less asking how to use filezilla. Or, is this what filezilla looks like in the first place?

Ah, nvm.

I need the FileZilla client to do this, not just the server.

Today I decided to make sure all of my PHP code was PHP8.1 compliant. I started in my local machine (of course), and the first error I got was that MySQLi couldn’t be found. It took me 3 hours to fix that (because I didn’t want to reinstall XAMPP). I ended up backing up my Apache config and MySQL databases. Then I decided to reinstall XAMPP and plop my Apache config and databases back. Everything works now, but I gave myself a large headache trying to fix it myself.

I also ended up DoSing 127.0.0.1
Btw 127.0.0.1 is my local server (duh)

You are trying to connect to the server. And that will work if you have your own FTP server. Since ftpupload.net is shared across thousands of accounts, you also need a username, an option it does not look like you have.

Good luck!

Sounds like what happens whenever I try to change something (Not necessarily website related) that works.

Good to know that I am not alone

Yeah I need to install the filezilla client. I only have the server :frowning:

Also, the control panel in XAMPP doesn’t allow me to stop or start a service. I have to do that from services itself.

Btw, anyone heard of Tobu?

Is it just me, or is FTP down?

It’s fine for me.

5 days ago I had as much work as you did
and lost 4 hours

I have dual boot win11 and Kali

and suddenly when I am in Kali
all folders and files on all NTFS disks have a lock on them (read only)

at first I thought something was wrong with Linux

so returned a few saved sessions
then made repairs and upgrades
checked various configurations
browsed 101 articles online
then 5 times checked if they win normally done shutdown
and finally I go to win11 and saw that there is a Cumulative Update
waiting to be installed
and after I installed it and restart win OS
everything was normal in Kali as well.

so I guess Win put a lock on everything
until they make an update and get confirmation that everything went well

which service does not respond?

Be sure to try running the XAMPP control panel as an admin (right click run as admin)
which is sometimes necessary
so that the program could write .ini file (settings etc.) and not throw out that error when exiting xampp

or if you want it to always run as admin
then right-click on CP
properties> compatibility> run as admin

and you can also manually click one of the bat files
